Maxima’s 2020 pearl harvest in Cone Bay, in Western Australia’s Kimberley region, is now complete

Maxima Managing Director John Hutton said the team were very pleased with the results.

“Pearl harvest season is always an exciting time as we get to see the results of our work after nurturing the pearl oysters over the last two years,” he said.

“This year was no exception with some truly spectacular results.”

Data from this harvest will be used for a research project that will guide the future direction of Maxima’s pearling program.

“Our business is based on evidenced-based research, which is why we’ve undertaken a pearl research program to compare produce quality from this season to historical data we’ve collected over the last 30 years,” Mr Hutton said.
